Selling Your House - Why Hasn't Your House Been Bought?

There are 2 common reasons why certain properties take longer than others to sell.

A) Overpriced Listing: An overpriced property is very vulnerable to the current real estate market. In a soft real estate market, a buyer's market, overpriced properties will probably take too long to sell. For a property listed at a premium, your house needs a motivated realtor to work hard at finding the right buyer.

B) Under Exposed Listing: your Realtor should have a good rapport with other agents. It is a fact that buyer's agents sell houses. If your realtor is not focused on helping you complete the sale of your home, they are just concerned with the sale and are probably not performing to the best of their abilities as your agent and representative.

When dealing with under-exposed properties, you should consider whether or not your agent is focused on what we believe matters in this industry; The Realtor's Long-Term Reputation. Your realtor should seek your satisfaction and encourage you, once you are content with your real estate transaction, to provide him with referrals when you have the opportunity. A realtor restricting their focus to their commission for a single sale is not accounting for the long term benefits that a satisfied customer can, and hopefully will, provide.

"The traditional realtor's favorite 4-letter word is "SOLD". My favorite is "WORK" because work is the surest path to sold".
